Using the appropriate led controller it is possible to adjust the brightness of the led without any flickering effect. Not all led controllers are capable for led dimming; proper dimming for led lighting (avoiding led colour shift) can only be done by pulse width modulation based controllers.

To run 10 meters of RGB strip you will need a 5A switching mode power supply, an RGB controller of your choice and the flexible strip. Basic soldering skills to do some simple connections may be necessary!
To control more than 10 meters of RGB strip using just one remote control, for every extra 10 meters a 5A power supply and an RGB led amplifier is necessary (LT-System-3060 or HL-AH3H10).
HL-AH3H10 (RGB led amplifier) is a low version of an RGB amplifier but in order to get synchronized with the wireless RGB controller (or additional rgb amplifiers) will need an extra cable connecting negative of all power supplies used!
Using LT-SYSTEM-3060 rgb led amplifier, does not require any extra connections.

I have purchased this controller together with my LED strip. The product is well built with good quality plastics. The controls are logically organized and easy to use. The remote controller is nice, small and handy when you are just sitting in your sofa, watching TV and don't feel like getting up. The controller offers a variety of modes I have not been able to fully explore yet, but I am sure everyone is going to find the ones that suits him/her. Installation of this unit cannot be easier. Just plug the wires and play. Hi-line customer support was very friendly and professional. I have exchanged at least 10-15 emails with Polis from Hi-line. He has answered every single one of them within 24 hours. Thank you and I will buy from Hi-line again as soon as I figure out where to put more LEDs in my house. :)

Please could u advise as to what powerpacks/ led controllers i would need to install 50meters of rgb strip.
The lighting would be used to highlight steps and under light a glass bar counter and coving.
A: RGB Led Controllers options: There are 2 different kinds of controllers that can be used to drive
your rgb led strips;both methods are fully dimmable 0 to 100%. 1. Wireless RGB Led controller is the economical and easy way to control
all rgb led strip lighting.
2. DMX512 RGB Led controller/decoder is an option for intelligent
control for RGB led strips; this way will require additional equipment
as any standard DMX512 console or DMX touch panel interface; using this
way will enable to separate your bar in different areas/zones that
could be controlled individually; as an example you could set different
colours/brightness/effects for the steps, bar counter and coving. Also
using this method you could touch a button and have all bar to follow
"sound to light" music rhythm and much more effects as steps being
running one-by-one forward/backwards etc.
If you are looking for an easy and economical way doing this project the
answer is wireless rgb led controller together with necessary rgb led
amplifiers and power supplies for a 50 meters RGB led strips set.
